A fabulous vintage carved half-hoop ring set with three natural cabochon opals (approx. 0.74ct) displaying a striking medley of vibrant colours alongside four twinkling diamonds (approx. 0.08ct). 

Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind.

The piece is crafted in solid 18ct gold and displays beautiful, scrolled engraving down the sides and shoulders with clear London hallmarks within the band, dating the piece to 1976.
