• Scarce and highly colorful Mueller art pottery vase.

• Vase is 6 3/4" tall and 3 3/4" wide.
• The Mueller Pottery Company was established near Decatur, IL and produced bathroom and kitchen vitreous fixtures mostly during the 1920s and 1930s. They were known for their impeccable salesmen who would often carry samples of materials and take customer ideas back to the department for implementation. Due to financial struggles of the Great Depression, the plant closed in 1933. It is believed that the rarely seen art pottery vases were cast as samples for salesmen to carry to customers about the quality of the vitreous ware and occasionally used as gifts. The pastel rainbow glaze makes each vase unique and one of a kind.
